Definition: A snow shower is a short duration of moderate snowfall. Some accumulation is possible.  NOAA-NWS 

A fairly short period of snow precipitation falling from a cumuliform cloud and characterized by its rapid start and finish.  WMOMeteoterm 

A brief period of snowfall in which intensity can be variable and may change rapidly. A snow shower in which only light snow falls for a few minutes is typically called a snow flurry.  AMSglossary
