Definition: The fissure at the line of junction between an immovable icefoot or ice wall and fast ice, the latter being subject to the rise and fall of the tide.  NSIDCCryosphere 

A crack between fast ice subject to sea level tidal rise and fall and the fast ice foot or ice wall, or shore.  Bushuyev 

Crack at the line of junction between an immovable ice foot or ice wall and fast ice, the latter subject to rise and fall of the tide.  WMOSeaIce
