Definition: A compact layer of ice cake and small ice cake formed as a result of repeated hummocking and rafting. In the coastal zone and near the fast ice boundary, the windrow thickness can achieve 10-20 m. In some cases it extends down to the bottom. Windrow presents a serious obstacle for shipping.  Bushuyev
