Definition: Southward flowing current on the eastern side of Baffin Bay with speeds of 0.2-0.4 m/s. It is fed by low-salinity water from the Arctic Ocean, thus contributing to the freshwater budget between the Pacific and Atlantic, and by the West Greenland Current. It feeds the Labrador Current.  AMSglossary
