Definition: (Provider Descriptive Profile_certification) A certification (or equivalent) for an organization providing data to qualify as a trusted or reliable repository, and year certification (or equivalent) was obtained or last updated.
Examples: < DSA,2016> - Data Seal of Approval (DSA), 16 basic self-assessed metrics to qualify. Extended and Formal certifications are available. Additional options include but are not limited to: Trustworthy Repositories Audit & Certification (TRAC), a document describing the metrics of an OAIS-compliant digital repository that developed from work done by the OCLC/RLG Programs and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) task force initiative.
