Definition: Ridge of debris representing a stationary or minor readvance phase during otherwise general retreat.  Swisseduc 

Moraine that is created during a pause in the retreat of a glacier. Also called a stadial moraine.  PhysicalGeography 

A ridge of glacial sediment that forms when the terminus of a retreating glacier remains at or near a single location for a period of time sufficient for a cross-valley accumulation to form.
